There are countless small and big moments in life where we receive blessings from God. God’s love can be found in all aspects of our lives, ranging from the air we breath to the people and family who surround us, we may not even notice it. A short prayer of thanks is a wonderful way to thank God for His goodness and appreciate His grace. It also cultivates a grateful heart.

Here is a short prayer for thanking God for his protection and guidance.

Dear Heavenly Father,

My heart is overflowing with thanksgiving as I approach You. Thank You for giving me the gift of life and for allowing me to experience Your grace each day. I am grateful for all the blessings that You shower on me every day, both visible and invisible, as well as for Your love and unending support.

I thank You for my good health. Every heartbeat and every breath that I take is a gift from You. I take them for granted sometimes, thank You for giving Me the Strength to Face the Challenges I Face and for Holding me Stable when the Road Gets Tough. You carry me in moments of weakness, and I am grateful for that.

For the Blessings of Family and Friends

Father, thank You for my family and close friends. Your goodness is reflected through their acts of kindness and support. It is a blessing to have people who support me and encourage me when I need it. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share my joy and laughter with others and to provide them support and love. Thank you also to the people in my life who have challenged me to grow. You teach patience, forgiveness and humility even through disagreements and misunderstandings. Each relationship and every encounter is a chance for me to grow in Your love.
