The bible is often referred to as the word of God in Christian faith, which is true. The Bible is the word of God. This is so because the writers of every word written in it were inspired by the Holy spirit. Although the bible is called the word of God, not every word written in the bible were exactly God’s words. For instance, in the bible king Pharaoh spoke (exo 8:19), the devil spoke (matt 4:3), Jezebel spoke (1king 21:23) and so on. Even when that is the case, it is still called the word of God because the Holy Ghost allowed the writers of every page to write down all of those words for our learning.

What Scripture says about the Word of God?

John 1:1-3

In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.

Based on apostle John’s account and witness about our Lord Jesus, Jesus is the word of God. Jesus was in the beginning with God during creation. The same Jesus is God. The apostle John in his account reveals to us that the word became flesh and dwells among men as the person of Jesus Christ (Jn 1:14).

The Power of the Word of God Verse

The world is presently in a time where there is much chaos. Troubles and distress everywhere. The word of God remains the only sure way of overcoming every wile and plans of wickedness looming everywhere in the world.

The word of God has been given to us believers to instruct, guide and correct us in this present time. It is very necessary for us to give ourselves diligently to the writings of the word of God.
